The Opensend Shopify App has been upgraded, and the original version ("Opensend Shopify V1") is being deprecated soon. To ensure uninterrupted service, you must transition to Opensend Shopify V2.
Important: This update is required only if you are using the Opensend Shopify app v1 on your website and you are receiving an alert from Opensend team to upgrade.
Steps to Upgrade to Opensend Shopify V2:
1- Uninstall the Opensend V1 App:
- Log in to your Shopify dashboard and go to Settings > Apps and Sales.
- Locate the Opensend app, click the three dots next to it, and select Uninstall.
- Navigate to Online Store > Themes in the Shopify admin, then click Customize to edit the current theme.
- Click the three-dot menu and select Edit Code.
- In the theme.liquid file, search for ins_opensend and remove any associated Opensend include expressions.
- Locate the ins_opensend.liquid file in the Snippets folder and delete it.
2- Install the Opensend V2 App:
- Log in to your Opensend Dashboard and navigate to Integrations > Main Connections > Shopify > Configuration.
- Click Install to reinstall the Shopify App with the updated V2 version.
- Click the Install button from the Shopify store
- Once the app is installed you will see this confirmation message.
- From your Shopify admin, go to Sale channels > Online Store > Themes and click on the Customize button.
- Select App embeds. and click on the switch to enable Opensend App Block.
- Click Save and Exit.
