Please take note of the following coupon characteristics when utilizing them with Opensend:
- Each coupon is used once
- Coupons have to be uploaded via CSV
- Coupons have an expiry date - After which coupons are not valid anymore and postcards using those coupons will not be processed
- Coupons will only be available to be used with the HTML templates
- Once expired, the coupon expiry date can be changed/extended to a different date
- You can import more coupons to your coupon group as per your needs
- In order to use Coupon you need to have a coupon variable in your HTML template
Uploading coupon group
- Go to Postal
- Go to Coupons
- Click on Create Coupon
- Enter the name of the coupon group, select the expiry date, and Add a CSV file - Up to 256 MB)
- CSV should only contain one column i.e. "coupon", see the sample file and follow that format
- Click Create
How to change the coupon expiry date
- Go to Postal
- Go to Coupons
- Click on the three dots next to the coupon group
- Click on the Change expiry date
- Select a new date when the coupon group will expire
- Click on the Update button
How to import additional codes to the coupon group
- Go to Postal
- Go to Coupons
- Click on the three dots next to the coupon group
- Click on Import codes
- Add a CSV file that contains coupon codes
- Click Import
Observing coupon group
- Go to Postal
- Go to Coupons
- The list of available coupon groups will show up
- You will see the name, expiry date, created date, and number of available/total coupons for each group
- You can click on the Coupon group and check the status of each coupon and find out whether it was used in your postcard or not
