    • Click on the API token button
    • Enter a name for your API token e.g. "Opensend Token" and click on the Create button
    • Click on Copy API token – Make sure you save your API token because you won't be able to see it on Sendlane after the pop-up is closed
  • Paste the copied API token in the API token field on the Opensend dashboard and click Validate
  • Click on the "Select or create a new list" dropdown to select or create a list that you are going to use for Opensend contacts
    • We suggest creating a new list called "Opensend" – Make sure you select the correct Sender for the created list and click on the "Create" button
  • Click on "Select or create a new tag" dropdown
    • We suggest creating a new tag called "Opensend"
    • Click on Create a new tag
    • Enter a name for your tag i.e. "Opensend" and click on the Create button

  • Mapping custom fields:

By default, Opensend is only delivering email address to your integration. However, you can add additional fields that we generate by default:

  1. sourceURL
  2. Timestamp
  3. sourceDomain
  4. userGeolocation
  5. userIp
  6. userAgent

To add those to your delivery alongside email contacts:

  • Click on Select an option dropdown under the Opensend field headline

  • Select the desired field that you want to deliver alongside email – For example UserGeolocation

  • Click on Select an option dropdown under the Sendlane field headline

  • You will be offered to select a field that you already have on Sendlane or to create a new one
    • If you don't have a field on Sendlane that would match the field on Opensend (In this case userGeolocation) click on "Create new item"
  • Enter a name for the field and click on Create
    • Now UserGeolocation Opensend field will be mapped out to the created field on your Sendlane dashboard
  • You can add more fields by clicking on Add Custom Field icon

  • When the custom fields setup is done, click on the Next button
  • Select the Traffic sources from where you want to receive the data
  • Click Create Connections
  • Select the Destinations and Click Publish
  • Once the connection is published you will see your Traffic source connected with your Sendlane integration with a green line.
