How do I integrate Opensend into Listrak?

Seamlessly integrate Opensend data into Listrak

  • Go to the integrations tab on the Opensend Dashboard
  • Click Main Connections
  • Click Add Destination
  • Select Listrak
  • Add a name and description for Listrak integration and click Next 

To Integrate Listrak with Opensend you will need: 

  1. Client ID 
  2. Client secret
  3. White list Opensend IP addresses
    • Click on Integrations.
    • Click on Integrations management
    • Click on New integration
    • Click on the Integrate button for the Email API option
    • Click on the Setup Integration button
    • Add an Integration name for your integration
    • Assign following areas of the API for your integration: Contact, Event, List, Message, Reporting, Segmentation
    • Add  these IP addresses access for the integration:
      • 44.226.63.69
      • 44.228.174.105
      • 44.232.216.217
      • 100.21.16.103
       
    • Click on the Save button
    • Click the Save button again
    • Make sure to securely store a copy of your Client ID and Client secret.
  • Paste the Client ID and Client secret to the Opensend Listrak setup fields and click on the Validate button 
  • Click on the "Select or create a new list" dropdown 
  • Click on Create a new list 

To create a list you will need: 

  • List name – We suggest using Opensend as a list name 
  • Folder – The folder in which the list will be created 
  • IP pool 
  • Bounce handling method 
  • Bounce Unsubscribe count 

After filling out these fields for list creation, click the Create button. Your list will be automatically selected in the dropdown, and contacts resolved by Opensend will go into that list moving forward.

  • Click on the Select suppression lists dropdown
  • Select lists that you want to suppress and Opensend won't deliver any contacts that already exist on these lists (If there is a master list where they generate all their contacts even better)
    Note: For easier suppression management, we recommend selecting your Listrak Master list.
  • To further segment contacts and add additional fields to be delivered alongside email enable the “Segmented contacts” toggle 
  • Click on Select segment group 
  • Click on Create a new group 
  • For the Segment group name we suggest using “Opensend segment group” and for position, you can enter “1”.
  • Click on the Create button 

  • Click on Select Segment field 

  • Click on Create a new segment 

Note: 

Opensend will include these types of custom fields that you can select to have delivered alongside the contact’s email: 

  • UserGeolocation
  • Timestamp
  • SourceURL
  • SourceDomain
  • Useragent
  • UserIP 

Alongside these you can also input a value for the created field and that static value will be generated for created segment field whenever a new contact joins your list – Which is handled by “Get field value form Opensend custom fields” toggle 

  • Enter segmentation field name – For example UserGeolocation 
  • For Data type select Text 
  • For max length input 100 
  • For position select 1 
  • Click on the Create button 
  • Toggle ON -  Get field value from Opensend custom fields 
  • Select UserGeolocation

  • Click on the Add segmentation field button to add more segmentation fields and repeat the steps for any custom field you want to receive alongside the contact’s email (In the example above we have shown how to do it for UserGeolocation)
  • When you are done with custom fields segmentation click on the Next button 
  • Select traffic sources and click on the Create connections button 
  • Select created connections and click on the Publish button
