Getting started with setup filters on Opensend

This article is helpful if you need to send specific data to destination platforms on Opensend by using setup filters.

Setup filters are "logic" statements used to determine which Opensend resolved identities to send to the destination platform.

Warning: Setup filters are highly customizable and will determine which data is sent to the destination platform. We highly recommend consulting your customer success executive before creating them.

Supported setup filters under Main Connections:

Note: Any setup filters you add under Main Connections will influence which identities get resolved from your website and sent to the destination platform

  • User Agent: To be used when setting up a filter based on the web browser details of the resolved identity.
  • User Ip: To be used when setting up a filter based on the IP address of the resolved identity.
  • City: To be used when setting up a filter based on the City of the resolved identity.
  • US State: To be used when setting up a filter based on US state State of the resolved identity.
  • Source Url: To be used when setting up a filter based on the Source URL(exact page's URL from where the identity was resolved) of the resolved identity.
  • Source Domain: To be used when setting up a filter based on the Source domain(domain from where the identity was resolved) of the resolved identity.
  • Email: To be used when setting up a filter based on the email address of the resolved identity.

Supported setup filters under Other Connections:

Note: You will only have the identities available for other connections, which are qualified from the main connections. Any setup filters you add under Other Connections will influence which identities are sent to the destination platform.

  • User Agent: To be used when setting up a filter based on the web browser details of the resolved identity.
  • User Ip: To be used when setting up a filter based on the IP address of the resolved identity.
  • City: To be used when setting up a filter based on the City of the resolved identity.

Note: To start using Event type filters, you need to first implement Opensend SDK for e-commerce events tracking.
