Do I need to update my website's cookie consent or privacy policy now that I'm using Opensend?

Most websites with an existing robust cookie and privacy policy won't need to make changes specific to Opensend. Ensure that your privacy policy makes it clear that your website:

  • uses cookies for marketing, sales and analytics purposes
  • works with third-party technology vendors who also use cookies to provide services to you
  • may receive personally identifiable information (PII) from third parties to provide services

PLEASE NOTE: If your website allows people to opt-out of cookies, it is your responsibility to honor that by not firing the Opensend pixel (as with any third-party tag, i.e. Google, Facebook, etc.).

Keep in mind that these visitors have already consented to having their email shared with you, as described here.
